Children in KS2 learning how pilots can use flaps to control their aircraft.

With paper darts made, provided with flaps on the wings, the children tried to find ways to keep them in the air for as long as possible. They found that the flaps allowed to planes to gain or lose height, but when the flaps were raised or lowered, they didn't travel as far!
